The Recents – 3 February 2014

See, already on a roll for a weekly update!  Here you go:

Books:  Sophie Kinsella as Madeleine Wickham books.  Yes, they are kind of cheesy, but they are easy and funny reads, which helps boost my total reading number for the year.  I am still reading “Serena” and trying to finish my book “Cold Blooded Killers,” which details the lives and crimes of some crazy killers.  Yes, I am weird.

Music:  “Give Me Love” by Ed Sheeran, Sleeping with Sirens, and “Hold On To The May” by Pierce the Veil.

TV/Movies:  Parks and Recreation, Season 3 and finishing up American Horror Story: Coven.  I love that series!  I still think the first season was the best.

Foods:  still going juice crazy.  I found out that I absolutely despise cantaloupe juice and should be really careful about how much ginger I put into the juicer.  I’m also finally trying this yogurt cake recipe.  It uses greek yogurt, lemon, and a lot of eggs (I don’t even want to tell you).  I’ll let you know how it turns out!

Current topics of interest:  the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman.  I really liked his acting and thought he was extremely talented.  His early death, especially at the hands of drugs, is so sad.

Goals for the week:  finish 2 books, get to the gym at least 4 times (already 1 down!), and purge the kids toy room.  They have so many broken toys that I either need to fix or throw out, but it’s going to take awhile to get through all of them.  Honestly, when did my kids get so spoiled with toys?  Finally, I am going to do all my research on the travel books from the library so I can return them on time.  This is a rare occurrence.  If the library here charged late fees, they would make a killing off our family.

Until next week my friends.  A little note for you, from our German word board, is der Hund.  It is dog!
